St. Louis Cardinals’ outfielder So Taguchi bends his head for manager Tony LaRussa’s midseason lice check. “Few teams do it anymore,” said LaRussa, “but we think it’s a healthy thing for our players.” LaRussa revived the practice this season, noting that he freqently checks his dogs for fleas and ticks.
