Thompson is then moved to the pen, so that now you have two long-relievers (starters) to use in this strategy ... you effectively are using 7 starters ... This would keep our starters sharp and keep Tony from over-using the rest of the pen ... and help the staff remain effective until the rest of the re-inforcments (Mulder, Carpenter, Clement?) come in ...
