Perez was evidently purchased from Memphis on 5/16 and played until being sent down on 7/18. He was recalled 8/6. According to my count, he spent 62 days on the active roster the first time, then spent another 25 before rosters expanded on 9/1 for a total of 87 days. Since he spent more than <a href="http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/about_mlb/rules_regulations.jsp" rel="nofollow">45 days on the active roster during the 25-man period</a>, he is no longer considered a rookie.
